Family Tree
Each year, the Concord Museum, near Boston, organizes a Family Trees exhibition. Each tree is decorated based on a children book story.
The publisher Barefoot Books is responsible for the main Tree which stands in the Hall of the Museum.
In 2014, Barefoot Books invited me to decorate this main 3 feet high Tree based on The Arabian Nights book I have illustrated.
I had to produce around 300 ornaments. I used different materials such as clay, cardboard, translucent liquid, papier-mâché, polystyrene balls, chinese ink, acrylics paintings…
You can also see the process here and the setting up of the tree here.
Here is an Interview with Barefoot Books.
